An Argument Against Suicide
The following are thoughts about suicide. Albert Camus once famously said that he wondered not why people committed suicide, but why more people did not. He was speaking of the suffering inherent to the human condition. As a psychotherapist, there are many emotionally charged encounters with people who have fleeting, but intense, thoughts of their death, which prompts a quick intervention of some kind. There are those patients who steadfastly maintain the option for suici
